Part Time Nursery Nurses

The Cedars Nursery is well respected private day nursery based in Fenham (opp. Prospect Medical Centre) in Newcastle upon Tyne which has been operating for over twenty years. We have three age groups, 3 months - 2 years, 2 year olds, and a pre-school which are led by room leaders. We are an engaging and professional nursery with a modern mindset and a goal to provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children. We believe in plenty of time outdoors and learning through play. We work closely with parents, carers and childcare professionals to ensure the very best outcome for all children. We enjoy being part of our thriving West End local community and celebrate our diversity. We have a wealth of experience in supporting children with English as an additional language through a comprehensive phonics programme in pre-school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about facilitating the children's learning, providing quality care and communicating with parents. Responsibilities:

  • Take care of children of pre-school age.

  • Look after children's health, comfort and safety while they are in the nursery.

  • Provide a stimulating and safe environment for all children in the nursery.

  • Encourage the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child.

  • Ensure children wash their hands before meals.

  • Help each child to make choices and become more independent.

  • Assist children to develop self-help skills.

  • Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the children.
